Hellooooo Humansss!!!
So I have a theory that brands and people seem like idols because of an element of mystery, it is psychologically true that people (particularly women) are attracted to mystery due to our natural human curiosity and the needs to satisfy it.
A reason to why we idolise celebrities could be because we do not know them in real life, we may only see them on TV or see their work and find that we are interested in them but there's a thin sheet separating reality and expectations.
For example, the friends and families of these celebrities tend not to idolise them as much as fans as they are well acquainted with the celebrity and the sheet of mystery is not present.
One might argue that (ok wow that was a very formal start, can you tell that I've been practicing history and english writing?) there are youtubers who might present their whole life to you and they might even film their day-to-day life, but the truth is, all of the videos you see go through bunches of editing - I am not saying that youtubers are fake, all I am saying is that regardless of how much truth they expose on Youtube, it doesn't feed the human curiosity only because these videos act like a teaser before a movie.
They tease your curiosity which provokes you to want to know more about their lives as there is always something you could learn about them whether it be from their past or the curiosity to know what they are going to do in the future.
Another example would be brands and companies, we don't know much about the companies' CEO's personal life or feelings at every time because our knowledge of them is very limited even if they have a whole web page on Wikipedia. Have you ever found yourself wondering whether the people who own Burger King got free burgers, or how the fast food industries continue to be on-top with their franchise and get customers regardless of slanders against them or how their new sauce tastes with burgers, chips and chicken?
Well, this curiosity from us is the source of every famous thing's success, now this is not a bad thing, but it is important that we recognise why we actually like something, for example liking some celebrity should remain as a happy choice and not turn into obsessiveness or a reason to do something you would never normally do.
The whole point of this week's blog is to raise awareness of the extreme actions of many people due to obsessing over celebrities and different things leading onto punishable actions. (Yes, I is talking to the hard-core stalkers! ^^)
Anyway, that was a huge rant and a very unusually formal blog, I am hoping you liked my theory and was able to wrap your head around my extensive theory.
See you next week!!! Keep calm and eat watermelonnnnnnn!!!!

Nice one , I liked the content of your theory . Every individual have a choice to be curious or not but finally it depends on them . How they take it ?
I kinda agree with you
but I don't think I'll ever be able to understand sasaengs , cause like if they like the k pop idols soo much why do they feel okay with making them feel uncomfortable and scared???
Like do you really like a person if you make their day to day life scary????
ps. just thoughts
very deeply thought blog today 🥹 reminds me of sasaengs from k-pop 😣 too obsessive sometimes 😭
