Helllooooo Humanss!!
Today, I wanted to talk about my open evening experience at my school.
I was chosen to make and deliver a speech at open evening from my year group so I had to create a speech. We had rehearsals and everything throughout the week during break and lunch..
On the same day of open evening I had a history test which was surprisingly very hard as I usually find history easy..anyway after 2 hours of contemplating life when it came to history, I decided to eventually let go of my test and went to Krithika's house along with 4H's and Krish to chill there before open evening commenced.
We made some tea and had some baddam milk and to master those two tasks only it took us half an hour and to spillages of cups of milk - oh and adjusting sweetness levels (yes we all have an exceptionally different sweetness level liking).
After a lot of chaos and a bit of walking, we arrived to school around 4:30pm till I left the group to do my speech in the main hall.
The speech was great but OMG it took forever for each round of speeches to be over...we were sitting on stage so my back was straight, I couldn't slouch, and I had to look presentable meaning smiling if I accidentally made eye-contact with a stranger and trying not to look like an awkward wreck as a whole.
Our speeches ended early while the tour-guiding was still going on - in fact my job ended at 7pm and the end of the whole event was supposed to be at around 9pm!
So, since I ended early and had no one to pick me up from school that early, I decided to wander of and hopefully find one of my three friends who were touring, lucky for me I found Krithika and apparently at the right time too - she was supposed to get into a pair with someone but had no one to pair up with when I just happened to walk by - FATE..
Anyway, we had this really lovely and great family (their kids were on a residential) and so we had a great time and I got to tour a family! They were soooooo nice (they hugged us and told us they were so proud of us for being able to confidently talk to other people and show them around school).
Finally, it was the end of open evening and we left - by the time it ended my back was killing me from the speeches with my parched throat and my dying feet from touring.
What was worse, was that I left my water bottle in school that night! I mean how could I - it was especially ironic because 4H's always left her water bottle behind and lost it and I'd usually be the one lecturing her about it but this time I left it! ( How great :/ )
So, this was my open evening experience, hope you had fun reading about my little ranting session, see ya next week!
