Hellooo Humans!!
So, like I have mentioned in the past, my parents are big social butterflies.
We have so many events and things happening every weekend and to be honest, I don't go to most of them because 1) I am studying and busy with my hectic schedule (trying to cram in 50 things into a day) or 2) I am lazy (with basically 0 things on my schedule but I just want to laze around).
But when I do go, it is the most energy consuming task!
For example, I went out to a wedding today, and my day started at 6:45 am when I got up to take a shower and freshen up.
After the easy part was done, it was now time to wear a complicated outfit which looked pretty simple and layer it with pins, jewellery and drapes.....IT IS A PAIN.
The amount of hairpins I had on me is insane!
After all of this, plus exercising up and down the staircase to bring extra stuff we forgot wear, we got into the car, an hour later than we intended, and started on our 1 hour car ride.
Then we struggled like crazy trying to put our outfit together with some finishing touches until we got to the venue.
And the struggles don't stop there...
Once we got to the venue, it was sooooo warm, wearing a heavy layer of clothes with make-up and hair done in 20 degrees worth of heat is no joke!
What's worse is when you have to interact with people you don't know / don't remember but then it gets awkward, you don't have a choice but to smile and keep going..
I was literally sitting for an hour at the front (in the wedding), looking so lost and like a lonely weirdo whilst my parents were off socialising effortlessly...
Anyway, I did manage to find and make friends in the end but I was so exhausted by the time I got home and I sort off just fell asleep, hence the delay of this upload..
So, moral of the story, every time I go out, I must remember to charge my social battery. ;)
