Relentless Revising

Helllooooo Humanss!!!

Firstly, good luck to all those waiting for their GCSE results and congratulations to all those who have received their A-Level results, I hope they were what you were hoping for!

If you are in year 11 or 13 from September, I'm sure you all feel:

1) Old (sorry but I had to put that out there)

2) Tired (from all the revision you've been doing)

3) Overwhelmed (from all the content you have or need to cover) 4) And just uncertain about whether you can handle all the pressure of what the next year might bring you

It is undoubtedly true that the new term, will be the start of a journey full of tests, revision and perhaps even stress...so I just wanted to remind you, to not lose yourself in the process.

I know what I'm about to say next might sound cliched, but....

It would be much better to start small and do a bit of revision everyday than lose yourself to your mental health by pulling an 'all-nighter' just to get through content a day before your exam.

It's not reasonable to wait until you feel motivated enough to work, because let's be honest, I don't feel motivated until the most random of times; like 2am for example, and if I did decide to study at 2am, my whole sleep schedule would be messed up for the next day - resulting in waking up later on and having less time to do any revision to then wanting to just be lazy until the next rush of motivation.

And sometimes, these bursts of motivation, don't even last very long, so by the end of the whole motivation frenzy, you end up feeling stressed out because you have so much to do and so little time before your next exam.

So start revising immediately after you wake up and have had breakfast, whether you feel like it or not, because then you would be able to allocate time for a break and for lunch as well as sleep.

Remember, you can always start now - I literally mean now.

If it's around 10pm and you have to sleep soon, why don't you start now by preparing all of your tasks you need to complete for tomorrow, if it's around lunch time, start now by preparing tasks you want to complete after lunch, if you're on a holiday start now by prep-

Ok, I think you get the idea!

A little bit of work each day can go a long way...
