Hellooooo Humans!!
I want to start by talking about how women and girls still face a lot of consequences that root from sexism and these are commonly caused due to not being taught how to respect women and girls.
My friend, Pansy, is going to talk about an incident that had occurred and the incident demonstrates a dismissal of respect towards girls; the behaviour of these boys from the other school is just disgusting.
Here is an example of the sexism women and girls still face today. I have not witnessed this but have heard about it and confirmed it to be true. This was from a camping trip at school.
On the last night of the trip, everything was going well. the activities were pleasant and we had a wonderful time together after dinner. However, there was another school around as well. The boys from that school decided it would be great to take inappropriate pictures of us girls so the entire night, when we had to go to the toilet and such, we had to carry torches and friends as well. Luckily we didn't encounter the boys but in case we had, it would have been terrifying and traumatising.
My point from this is there is still the blatant inequality between men and women all around us, even if we aren't aware of it. Don't think that we have killed inequality completely- the world may be modern but some people still cannot give women respect and rights.

Young girls deserve a chance to have fun and not worry about the opposite gender constantly, this can be quite traumatising as Pansy mentioned and cause discomfort and paranoia throughout the whole trip.
By now, you would think that schools are providing enough education to boys and girls about these topics and what's right and what's wrong, but as a result these incidents still take place.
Schools and parents need to take action by teaching each and every youngster to respect women, girls and each other.
