Hello!
Today I wanted to address a really important topic that many people struggle with: mental health.
Your mental health is your responsibility and it is important to recognise your feelings and emotions, no one will do it for you and no one will take care of you.
Maybe you notice that people don't want to be around you a lot anymore or tend to distance themselves, not because they think you are not worth it, but probably because your negative emotions are spreading to them.
Perhaps they come to work and have a positive mindset to achieve all their goals and have some fun when they see you, their friend, looking mentally unwell and unstable, it is inevitable that they would ask you about how you are feeling and would try to cheer you up, however if you mental health continues to stay low for a long period of time, they would probably not want more negative influence on them, especially if they themselves are going through a hard time and just want to get on with the day!
Remember, it is, after all, your responsibility to look after yourselves but it is understandable that you cannot stop yourself from feeling down all the time and just want an easier and simple solution to your problems. For example running away from your feelings and problems only to reach a burning point and let out the negativity on people around you.
So instead of trying to forget about something which is a typical coping mechanism humans resort to, occupy yourself and use the negative energy for something else requiring a lot of energy, some thing you have been procrastinating about for a while.
It's not easy to shift your focus and use all the negative energy for something but at the end of the task you complete, a sense of pride and positivity could overcome you with your achievement!
Also, try to seek professional help when you feel like your mental health is getting out of hands, it does not have to be for huge traumatic reasons, it can be for small ones, like how to approach to everyday more happily and positively or if you want to get something of your shoulders but have no one to tell.
Sometimes it may help to tell a professional who could give you advice than a friend who might be going through something too, and who just does not want to deal with any other problems.
So yes, it is not your fault if you feel down or are struggling with your mental health, but it is your fault if you don't take action and responsibility over it. But do remember that, you are not alone so do take that step to seek help.
