Misconceptions of Makeup

Hellooo Humanss!! Quick question, what does makeup mean to you? Whether it means nothing to you, whether it is your world, whether you like it, or whether you hate it, have you ever thought about where your opinion about makeup has originated from? I want to talk about the misconceptions and stereotypes of make up.... The history of makeup begins in Egpyt, where makeup was believed to be alligned with godliness where both genders and all classes had access to it. So, lets get into breaking the first stereotype: makeup is NOT ONLY for women, MEN can also wear and use makeup. No, it is not "gay" or "weird" if a man decided to wear makeup, and either way, it is their body, so their choice. Moving on from the Egyptians, especially in the world of performing arts, makeup was used to enhance features for performances and isn't necessarily used to make someone appear "pretty" according to 21st century beauty standards. There are so many reasons out there to use makeup, and not just for the sake of wanting to appear beautiful or impress someone. On the other hand, using makeup doesn't mean the person looks ugly without it, makeup is a way to enhance your features.. For example we all have skin but sometimes we might have blemishes on our skin or pimples, to feel more confident or comfortable with OURSELVES , note not to impress others but to give ourselves a boost of confidence, you could use makeup. Makeup is art, and it needs to be taken out of negative light; it is not just to conceal our faces but to highlight features to make it stand out, to make your star features stand out and to embrace your natural beauty. Overall, let your inner beauty prevail.. - Ravitreni Signing Off
