Hellooo Humanss!!
Today I wanted to talk about an important issue - Segregation.
When I talk about segregation, I don't just mean due to race but also cultures and religions within a race, and then there's hierarchy within the cultures and religion and then there's just segregation because they don't want a particular person to hang out with them.
The point is, us humans like to create individual groups and go off on our own that might result in excluding someone.
This happens, quite often and also is a natural human instinct, we are more likely to hang out with people who look, act or talk like us because I think that humans like the sense of belonging.
For example, we might start off with a huge friendship group and they are off same ethnicity and language but then slowly in the friendship group of lets say 30 people start to split, there ends up being 6 groups of 5 people celebrating, going out and having fun without each other because they are from similar areas or fall in the same place of a hierarchy completely forgetting that they are off same ethnicity and language anyway (not that, that matters).
To be honest, this idea does not seem that bad, people have friends, they can hang out with whom they relate to the most and they have fun... until one person is left out because they were not part of the same place in the hierarchy but they are friends with one of the person in a different group - their friendship is ultimately at stake and ends up getting ruined.
You might be asking why? I mean they are best friends so why don't they hang out together another time or just leave the groups.
Well, once we find a place where we can settle down, where we feel like we fit in, where we are comfortable, it is hard to leave, so misunderstandings form and friendships are broken.
Which is why segregation or discrimination in any manner or form against anything is not right.
I'm not saying having a friendship group is wrong, in fact even I have a group of friends, but discriminating others is.
Unless someone is toxic or has a tendency to make people feel bad, it's great to involve others and make someone's day!
Anyway, that's all I have for you today, remember avoid discrimination and don't stand up for segregation.

Happy Pongal! Also I feel like segregation naturally occurs in larger friendship groups. Sometimes it has to do with things like culture, religion and in general similarities however they can happen because people make a conscious decision to disassociate with a person they don't , agree with or someone they feel like makes them unhappy. In those cases I don't particularly feel like segregation is a bad thing. Anyway just a thought.😉
