First Days

Hellooo Humanss!!

For the past couple of days, nothing too wild has been happening because you know; EXAMSSS (so I have been trying to revise) !

But, as school starts next week (or tomorrow), as we begin to get back into the swing of our daily routine, I just wanted to tell you that the start of school does not need to be viewed in a negative light.

I know, it is difficult to not get stressed/upset/annoyed that we have to begin waking up earlier than we would have, that we will soon have deadlines to meet, that suddenly our schedule will be full of things to do but....don't forget to breathe..

It is very important to start taking better care of our mental health as school begins and it is even more essential to go into our academic year with a positive mindset.

Instead of thinking about all the assignments and tests we have to complete once we start school, why not start by living in the present, and thinking about what needs to be done NOW to start our academic year on a high note.

For example, do you need to buy new stationery, do you need to revise for a test, do you need to complete homework, do you need to get back into the habit of waking up at 6am?

What is it that you need to work on?

Try not to think just academically but also in general, do you need to start organising your room so you wake up to a clean work space or do you need to take up a new hobby to relieve your stress?

Making small improvements or doing small tasks that need to be done now, can help you gain a positive attitude towards your day, which hopefully can carry on till your first day of school.

Going back to school can be tiring and frustrating but it does not have to feel that way if you start that year with an open and positive mindset which you could gain from the confidence of starting to work on things you need to complete and change in your life now.

I hope everyone has an amazing first day at their school/college/university and good luck!
