Creating videos = Hard work

Hellooo Humanss!!

Can I just say, I am amazed by the content creators and film creators, all crew involved, with their patience and hard work! They deserve appreciation!

Why the sudden realisation?

Well, me and my friend - umm, let's call her Ash?

Anyway, me and Ash decided to make a video about life before ,during and after COVID-19 with interviewers for our german project so obviously the video was in german - SURPRISE SURPRISE.

So what did we do?

We met up at my house yesterday at 2pm or like 15 minutes after 2pm because Ash and her dad struggled to find my house and basically had a whole road trip of their own around places even I haven't been to in the development.

Then once she got her we immediately started to work. We tried our best to be prepared and planned everything out in school.

She even brought a whole backpack with a total of 6 costume changes, accessories, laptop, script, syringe and even two dumbbells as a part of props!

So it would be an insult to say we were not prepared...but the thing is...we ended up spending 6 whole hours to shoot 5 minutes worth of a video!

6 HOURS, and it wasn't even the editing! We still have the editing, adding subtitles since it was in german, making sure our german was decent, and sentences were accurate, to do!

I was exhausted by the end of it and so was my friend and brother who helped us record our video. We didn't even get one minute to rest, literally we worked, changed and memorised lines in the 6 hours with one 10 minute break for oreo donuts!

Ok..so maybe this blog was more of a ranting session but seriously I do not understand how creators and film makers plan all of the scripts and costumes and props, assign different roles to several people and end up with a good quality video whilst doing this process regularly if not on a daily basis...

IF YOU MAKE VIDEOS/MOVIES OR ANYTHING OF THAT SORT THEN YOU ARE AMAZING!

Anyway, this just taught me how not to underestimate any job even if it is fun because the amount of effort and hard work that the job demands is crazy..
